The Clerk of the Circuit
Court is a constitutional official and is elected to an eight-year term by
the voters. The Clerk of the Circuit
Court is responsible for keeping the land records for the City of Colonial
Heights, including deeds, judgments, financing statements, fiduciary
records, as well as marriage licenses, fictitious names, military
discharges and law chancery and adoption records. The Clerk of the
Circuit Court's Archive dates back to 1961, when the City of Colonial
Heights was annexed from the County of Chesterfield.
Our office hours are from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
No
financial payments will be accepted after 4:00 pm,
to include telephonic credit card payments.
