"A WALK THROUGH HISTORY"

On Sunday, April 20, 2008, Colonial
Heights will have its first Garden Tour, featuring homes and gardens in
Southern Colonial Heights. The tour has been named "A Walk Through
History" and it celebrates gardens, architecture, history and community.
Visitors
will be welcomed to explore the grounds of Violet Bank
Museum, which is the home to the second largest cucumber
tree in the Unites States. As many as 25 homes
will be included in this walking tour through the
streets of Colonial Heights and will allow visitors to
meander through time to an era when the pace was slower
and neighbors greeted you by name as you passed their
homes.
