PET LICENSING

If your dog is more than four (4) months old, it must be vaccinated against rabies and be licensed with the City.  This is required by Virginia Law and the Code of the City of Colonial Heights.  Dog tags are $10.00 or $2.00 for spayed or neutered dogs.  As of November 1, 1997, the City of Colonial Heights passed an ordinance that requires cats to obtain a city cat tag.  Cat tags are $10.00 or $2.00 for spayed or neutered cats.  Kennel tags are $50.00 for ten (10) or less animals and $100.00 for eleven (11) or more animals.  Dog and cat tags purchased after the due date will be assessed a 25% late fee.

Proof of rabies and spayed or neutered animals must be presented at the time of purchase.
