DOG TAGS
If
your dog is more than four (4) months old, it must be vaccinated against
rabies and be licensed with the City. This is required by Virginia
Law and the Code of the City of Colonial Heights. Dog tags are
$10.00 or $2.00 for spayed or neutered dogs.
CAT TAGS
As of November 1, 1997,
the City of Colonial Heights passed an ordinance that requires cats to
obtain a city cat tag. Cat tags are $10.00 or $2.00 for spayed or
neutered cats.
KENNEL TAGS
Kennel tags are $50.00 for ten (10) or less animals
and $100.00 for eleven (11) or more animals.
Dog and cat tags
purchased after the due date (February 1) will be
assessed a 25% late fee.
Three-year tags are now available! They can
be purchased for both cats and dogs, if the rabies
vaccination is good for at least 3 years from date
of purchase of tag. Please call (804) 520-9325 for

Proof of rabies and
spayed or neutered animals must be presented at the time of purchase.
